SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: Central Middle School has one existing water-cooled chiller which MPS desires to replace as it is near the end of its useful life and experiencing major failures. The project includes but is not limited to the following major elements: Removal of the existing chiller; Removal of the existing chilled water pump; Alternate Bid: Removal of the existing cool tower pump; Removal of existing CWS/R piping to accommodate chiller replacement; Removal of existing CS/R piping to accommodate chiller replacement; General demolition to accommodate project; Installation of one new chiller, chilled water pumps and associated controls; Alternate Bid: Installation of new cooling tower pump and associated controls; Installation of new VFDs for new chilled water pumps; Alternate Bid: Installation of new VFD for new cooling tower pump; Installation of new CWS/R piping; Installation of new CW/R piping; Commissioning new equipment and controls; Electrical modifications to accommodate new mechanical equipment; General Construction to accommodate new mechanical equipment.
