Bid Info:   Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Education of the Omaha Public Schools, Douglas County, Nebraska, for the Omaha Public Schools Transition Program Tenant Improvements, will be received in the office of District Operational Services, Omaha Public Schools, 3215 Cuming Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68131- 2024 until 2:00 p.m., March 21, 2019. The time clock maintained by District Operational Services, shall be the official clock utilized to determine the time for close of bidding. At that time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and tabulation will be made to present to the Board of Education at the next regular meeting for consideration in awarding the Contract. Any bid received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Project Description: The Transition Program is a complete tenant improvement of the former Hancock Fabric Store, located at 4839 N 72nd Street in Omaha NE. This training facility is designed to help to teach special education and disabled young-adults, ages 18-21, the life skills needed as they transition from a school setting to post-school life. The proposed building is existing single-story space, approximately 14,500 SF, and will require demolition of existing walls, ceilings, flooring, and restrooms, including all associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
The program includes training rooms, daily living apartment, open flex or commons space, office and conference area, staff work areas, restrooms, locker rooms, sensory room, exercise room, storage, cafeteria, and food service. Several of the training rooms will be constructed with hardened walls and ceiling assemblies to act as a safe room. The design includes engineering for structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, telecommunications, access control and security. Owner provided furniture, fixtures, equipment shall be coordinated by the General Contractor.

Only Complete Sets of Bid Documents may be obtained; no partial sets will be issued.
CD's and Downloads containing a complete set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $30.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.

If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $35.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co. Inc.
If shipping of CD is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.

The entire deposit will be refunded upon the return of these documents, including any addenda issued thereto, to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, in good condition, within 30 days of the bid opening.
