Bid Info:   Sealed bids for the Iowa Western Community College - Council Bluffs Campus Utility/Courtyard Improvements Phase II, Council Bluffs, Iowa, will be received at the Purchasing Office, located in Ashley Hall 144, Iowa Western Community College, 2700 College Road, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503; (712) 325-3235, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019 and will be opened publicly in Clark Hall Conference Room 161.

Public Notes:
The Work includes but is not limited to the following: Construction of a new addition to an existing building to enclose egress stairs. Materials for this portion of work shall include but are not limited to concrete foundations, walls and slabs, masonry, steel roof joists, metal decking, concrete floor topping, metal furring, hollow metal doors and frames, single ply membrane roofing, insulation and interior and exterior finishes. Mechanical and electrical systems are included in the work.
The removal and replacement of existing concrete pavement and sidewalk areas, removal, modification and/or reconstruction of concrete mechanical vaults, removal and replacement of existing storm sewer, water main and sanitary sewer utilities, new and renovated site lighting, site grading, new landscaping, new ornamental fence, and modification of existing irrigation system.
The construction of a new heating hot water piping system for the campus, replacement of chilled water lines to several buildings, as well as retrofitting and new hot water generating equipment. The new piping shall be connected within each building. Materials for this portion of work shall include but are not limited to underground hot water and chilled water piping. New boiler plant equipment, including new condensing boilers, expansion tank, air separator, pumps and piping. New water heaters will be installed in several buildings as well. Electrical systems are included in the work.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (402) 592-4950 upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $200.00 payable to Iowa Western Community College. *A Builder's Card will also be accepted in lieu of deposit check.

CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $50.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained.

If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $55.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.

Bid Documents MUST be returned, in good condition, within 14 calendar days after award of the project to obtain a deposit refund.
If Bid Documents are NOT returned within the time specified, the deposit check will be forfeited.
